In a significant step toward New Zealand’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, the NZ Product Accelerator (NZPA) has joined forces with the University of Auckland’s Green Energy Engineering Centre (GEEC) and the University of Auckland School of Business Energy Centre. This collaboration aims to enhance energy transfer efficiency, improve energy storage systems, and reduce emissions across industries.
As New Zealand works to meet its carbon-neutral target, energy efficiency and emission reductions are crucial. Industries must embrace green energy solutions and optimize energy management. Together, NZPA, GEEC, and the Energy Centre are combining their expertise in green energy, energy systems, and economics to support these goals.

The NZPA, with its focus on improving productivity and energy efficiency, is working alongside GEEC’s cutting-edge research on renewable energy systems and energy management. GEEC’s innovations help integrate sustainable energy sources into New Zealand’s energy infrastructure. In turn, the Energy Centre provides valuable economic insights, evaluating the financial feasibility of energy-saving technologies and helping businesses understand the long-term economic benefits of energy efficiency
